On April 27, Buck’s Pizza located at 350 Dauphin Street in Downtown Mobile announced their closing on Facebook with a Looney Tunes style photo of “That’s All Folks.”
Later this summer, oyster shuckers will soon fill the windows of that building across from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Richie Gambino of Pizzeria Delphina fame will soon open his newest venture, a seafood restaurant called The Portsider.
The Portsider will not only be serving fresh oysters from the Gulf of Mexico but you’ll also be able to enjoy oysters from waters of the Atlantic and the Pacific along with other great seafood dishes.
A city like Mobile, Alabama that is historically known for its seafood will now have another great seafood option to brag about. A projected opening of late summer 2019 is expected. Until then, stay tuned for latest from The Portsider.
